ACCOMMODATIONS
We have a block of hotel rooms at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill under the name Snowden-Hurd Wedding. As DC is a popular tourist destination, we encourage you to book accommodations by September 15, 2018, if not before.

Guests who wish to utilize this hotel option may either call to make a reservation by dialing 202-737-1234, or use the link that follows. Please note, shuttle buses will be provided to and from the wedding at this location.
AIR TRANSPORTATION
There are three major airports that service our Nation’s Capital. Reagan National Airport (DCA) is the closest airport to the venue and hotel, only minutes from downtown. Alternatively, Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) is located near Baltimore, Maryland, and is approximately 45 minutes outside of Washington, DC. And finally, Dulles International (IAD) is approximately 60 minutes away from the city center, located in Dulles, Virginia.
Washington is an easy city to navigate and is pedestrian friendly. We do not recommend renting vehicles and instead encourage the use of ride shares (Uber and Lyft) and taxis. And a good walk is good for the soul and the environment.
WEDDING ATTIRE
The wedding is Black Tie and evening wear. If you would like to rent a Tuxedo, there are numerous local and online options. Here are a few recommendations (links embedded into images):

TO & FROM WEDDING VENUE
Shuttle buses will depart from the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill located at 400 New Jersey Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20001.
Shuttle bus departure times to the wedding from the hotel: 4:30 PM and 4:45 PM.
Shuttle bus departure times from the wedding venue to the hotel: 10:00 PM, 10:30 PM and 11:00 PM
As DC is a difficult city to drive in and find parking, we strongly encourage guests to utilize the shuttle buses or Uber/Lyft to the venue.
ABOUT DOCK 5
The historic Union Market district is now home to the unique, warehouse event venue, Dock 5. We have selected Dock 5 as our venue because it offers a blank canvas to create our vision for a wedding and allows us to have both the wedding ceremony and the reception all in one unique space. We like to think this is a little rustic chic mixed with sophisticated flair. Much like our personalities, we like to dress up but not be too stuffy. Dock 5 is the perfect combination for the experience we have planned. Featuring over 12,000 square feet, 22’ high ceilings and glass garage doors, the space exudes urban sophistication. The venue is also directly above an artisanal marketplace, Union Market, which houses over 30 of the top food producers in the region.
PARKING AT DOCK 5
There is parking at Dock 5 in the Union Market parking lot (the large parking lot immediately in front of the artisan market). However, we encourage guests to Uber/Lyft or catch the Shuttle Bus departing from the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill located at 400 New Jersey Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20001.
GIFT REGISTRY
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift you could give us. We know there’s a cost to attend, and we’re immensely thankful that you’re helping us celebrate our love. We’ve been extraordinarily blessed in our lives, and there’s very little in the way of material goods that we “need.” Therefore we don’t expect gifts, and we don’t encourage them.
